Knitting - Next Steps
Wed, April 29 from 5:30-7:30pm with Misty
Ready to move beyond the basics? This class is designed for knitters who know how to do the knit stitch and are ready to unlock what knitting can really do. With just one new stitch — the purl — a whole world of texture and patterns opens up.
In this class, you’ll learn:

How to read and follow easy knitting patterns
You’ll practice by creating a small sampler that includes several classic knit-purl patterns, giving you the confidence to start projects like scarves, hats, and blankets.
Perfect for anyone who has taken Intro to Knitting or already knows how to do the knit stitch and cast on — this class will take your skills from “just knitting” to really creating. 🧶

By the end of class, you’ll have the skills to continue practicing at home and start simple projects with confidence.
No experience is needed—this class is designed for absolute beginners. We move at a comfortable pace, with plenty of time for questions, one-on-one help, and guided practice. Whether you’re looking for a new hobby, a creative outlet, or just a fun way to unwind, you’ll leave feeling proud of what you’ve made.

In this hands-on class, we’ll cover:

Crochet - Next Steps
Wed, May 20 from 5:30-7:30pm with Julie
Ready to build on the basics? This class is designed for crocheters who already know how to make a chain and single crochet and are eager to expand their skills. We’ll take the next step by introducing new stitches, techniques, and patterns that will help you grow in confidence and creativity.
Participants will learn stitches such as half double crochet and double crochet, how to read basic patterns, and how to work in rows and rounds. We’ll also cover essential techniques like increasing and decreasing, improving tension, and finishing projects neatly.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a stronger foundation and the skills needed to begin tackling more advanced projects like scarves, hats, and simple garments.
Prerequisite: Ability to chain and complete single crochet independently.
